Farm Tours and Grooming Sessions

To register for a tour or grooming session, please select your appointment below.

Be sure to complete the BCHR Visitor Waiver. Specific information is available in the FAQ section. To schedule a tour for a Girl Scout or Boy Scout troop, contact Maria at mariap.bchr@gmail.com. The donation is $15 per person plus chaperones.

For your safety and the well-being of our horses, please read our FAQs before visiting.

Please note: NO pets are allowed on tours. Do not bring items like umbrellas and noisy toys that might startle the horses.

Q. How long is the tour?

A. Tours usually run between 60-75 minutes.

Q. How many people can be accommodated on a tour?

A. For the $50 registration donation, tours can accommodate up to six people. A donation of $15 per person is required for additional guests.

Q. What if the weather on tour day is inclement?

A. In case of inclement weather, the tour guide will reach out to you to reschedule.

Q. May I feed the horses?

A. No.

Q. What will I learn during the tour?

A. Topics covered during the tour include a history of the farm, the creation of the rescue, background stories of the horses, general horse care and management, and safe interaction with the horses.

Q. What should I wear for the tour?

A. Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots and weather appropriate apparel. Also recommended are hats, sunscreen and insect repellent.

Q. May I take photographs during the tour?

A. Yes. Photographs can also be shared on Facebook and Instagram.

Q. Must I stay with the group during the tour?

A. Yes. Parents or chaperones must also watch their children. Children are not allowed to climb on the fences.

Q. Is a bathroom available for visitors?

A. Yes.
