“Tails and Tales” Children’s Summer Literacy Program

During the Summer of 2021 BCHR participated in the “Tails and Tales” children’s summer reading program at several Bergen County libraries. Volunteer Anne Barretta read a chapter of Charlotte’s Web for the Mahwah Public Library, and created a video for the Lodi Public Library about how our volunteers care for our horses, including an interview with head feeder Marie Doto explaining how our horses are fed each day. Our sweet mare Saturn was a winner in the Township of Washington reading program, and she was awarded horse treats!
