Here’s how our Patron Program works
For as little as $10 a month (that’s less than $1 a day!)
you can make a tremendous difference in the life of an abused, neglected horse who might otherwise have been sent to slaughter.
We are a nonprofit that relies upon the generosity of our donors, and we urgently need your help to sustain our operation so that we can fulfill our mission of Caring for Horses Mind, Body & Soul.
Plus, your donations will help BCHR rescue and rehabilitate even more horses in need.
If you’ve visited our farm you’ve witnessed how our horses respond to patience, kindness, nutritional grain, fine-quality hay, consistent medical care, farrier attention and much, much love from our volunteers. These dedicated folks muck stalls, groom our horses, attend to minor wounds, perform farm chores, write grants and seek corporate sponsors and donors, develop lively, consistent, informational social media and website content, and plan and execute special events and fundraisers.
Our volunteers give their time, expertise and their hearts to insure that our horses thrive. And not one volunteer at the rescue is paid for his or her efforts.
But it’s just not enough.
We need continuous funding for day-to-day expenses, as well as for catastrophic expenses such as surgery and extended medical treatment for our horses who become ill or injured.
