Happy Holiday Horseshoes
As part of our mission of Caring for Horses Mind, Body & Soul we work with a farrier to ensure healthy hooves for all of our horses. Since horses stand anywhere from 4-15 hours each day, their legs and hooves need to be kept healthy and strong.
Our farrier visits the farm every 6-8 weeks and replaces the horseshoes on our horses who wear shoes, and trims and cleans the hooves of horses without shoes. This essential service costs approximately $225 for each horse, totaling over $5,000.
We need your help!
Our farrier saves the discarded shoes from our horses, which are beautifully decorated by our talented volunteers and are sold in Hoof Prints Gift Shop at the farm.
We’ve selected 35 unique, hand-decorated horseshoes in two different sizes for you to give as birthday or holiday gifts, or to keep for yourself.

ALL proceeds from these horseshoes will help to defray the cost of our farrier visits.

HOW IT WORKS
The selection of horseshoes will be done on a first come, first served basis. As each donation is received, a representative from BCHR will contact the donor to arrange for a horseshoe and gift certificate pickup at Hoof Prints Gift Shop at our rescue.
